We’re currently looking for a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor to join our Lake District Creamery team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a NEBOSH-qualified health and safety professional to step into a key role with our growing, co-operative organisation.

The Benefits

  • Salary: £35 000 – 40 000 p.a.

The Role

As a Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Advisor, you will provide health, safety and environmental advice and guidance at our site in Aspatria.

You will champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement. You’ll ensure health, safety and environmental compliance, deliver training in safe behaviours and working practices and communicate and report areas of concern.

Developing and maintaining our Safety, Health and Environmental Management System, maintaining oversight of any changes in legislation and industry guidance and undertake regular compliance checks.

Additionally, you will:

  • Ensure statutory checks are completed in accordance with the relevant legislation
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

 About You

To be considered as our Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Advisor, you will need:

  • To have a solid previous experience as SHE Advisor or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • To hold a NEBOSH Certificate (NVQ Level 3 equivalent)
  • To know about current UK Safety, Health and Environmental legislation
  • To be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite and familiarity with project management tools & software
  • To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • To have a good eye for details
