We’re currently looking for a skilled/multiskilled engineer to join our Haverfordwest Creamery team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work a four-on / four-off shift pattern, working both days and nights.

The Role
As an Engineer, you will maintain, troubleshoot and make repairs to a wide range of processing equipment, ensuring efficient and reliable manufacturing operations across our Haverfordwest creamery.
Specifically, you will work with automation, pumps, compressors, pipework, actuators, conveyors and other varied process equipment, working in a safe and compliant manner at all times, having had previous experience of a permit to work system.
Seeking to maximise efficiency, you will complete planned and unplanned works, monitor the condition of equipment and diagnose, analyse and repair PLC control systems. You will also maintain electrical equipment, motors, drives, test electrical circuits and diagnose electrical faults and implement repair.
Additionally, you will:
- Communicate and report key information and support shift handovers
- Oversee and support contractors and service engineers
- Complete daily site walkarounds
- Highlight issues to engineering management
- Undertake stock counts
About You
To be considered as an Engineer, you will need:
- A broad understanding of Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and their control system architecture, network data communications, graphical user interfaces and other peripheral devices such as programmable logic controllers and discrete PID controllers
- A high degree of both mechanical & electrical maintenance capability of managing projects and project teams to work within disciplined processes and timeframes is essential
- HNC or equivalent in a relevant mechanical / electrical field
- Previous experience of working in a food manufacturing / packing environment is highly desirable
- A proactive individual with the ability to combine leadership and technical skills
- Good working knowledge of and the ability to use the full suite of Microsoft Office applications
- An advantage would be the above in an industrial environment or food manufacturing environment.
